Francesca Miozzi Ferrini
Francesca Miozzi is a leading researcher in Earth and planetary sciences, specialized in the study of planetary interiors under extreme conditions. She holds a PhD from Sorbonne University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from “La Statale” University in Italy.
Currently, Francesca is a Marie Curie Global Fellow at ETH Zürich and the University of Pavia, leading the “ExoDivers” project, which focuses on the mineralogy and structure of exotic rocky exoplanets. She also holds a Postdoctoral Fellow position at the Carnegie Institution for Science. Her research focuses on diverse topics, including planetary diversity, phase diagrams, and hydrogen solubility in silicatic melts.
Recognized for her contributions, Francesca has received prestigious awards, including the Marie Curie Global Fellowship, a PhD thesis award from the Italian Mineralogical and Petrological Society, and the Graduate Research Award from the American Geophysical Union. She is an active member of the scientific community, serving as an editor, journal reviewer, and convener for international conferences
