In her manuscript Sula Milani provides for the first time consistent the thermo-elastic parameters for grossular garnet using simultaneous fitting of pressure-volume-temperature data combined with either adiabatic (KS) or isothermal bulk modulus values (KT) as a function of temperature. Fittings of the data have been performed with a new routine available in EosFit7c following the thermal pressure model (see EoSFit paper). This model has the physically correct properties so that the product aKT becomes constant at high temperatures, while it decreases to zero at low temperatures. This means that both the bulk modulus and the thermal expansion become constant at low temperatures, and both have an approximately linear variation with temperature above θE.
