EntraPT is supported only on these browsers: Google Chrome™, Safari®, Firefox®, Microsoft Edge®. If you still cannot load the web app, delete the chronology of your browser including all the cookies and refresh the page. If this does not solve the issue, try a different browser. When you open a new EntraPT session, some resources (CPU, RAM, space on disk) of our server will be reserved for your session. If many users are using EntraPT at the same time, the available resources may not be sufficient to set up your session. In this case please try to connect to EntraPT later. If you see this message often, please let us know at software@mineralogylab.com since this may be a consequence of a malicious attack to our server.

This might be due to the speed in the connection between your browser and the server. When the connection is unstable or slow, the time required for a calculation, to refresh a plot or to display the data becomes longer. In this case the app might seem unresponsive for a few seconds.

This is usually a problem of communication between your browser and the server. Press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. This will refresh the app without losing your work. If you still find that the results of the calculation look wrong, the reason might be a bug in the code. Even if EntraPT is regularly and extensively tested and validated by our team, unspotted bugs or inconsistencies might happen in complex codes. In this case, please go to Report bug under the Help menu in the app. A report will be sent to us with a summary of your last actions on the app. No personal information is stored in the report (e.g. Username, IP number). If you have further comments on this bug, you can contact us at software@mineralogylab.com, specifying the code of the bug report generated by the app. Please give us as many details as you can on why you think the calculation is not correct.

Open EntraPT and go to Help (in the top menu bar) > Download template files. This will download a zip folder with several template files for specific crystallographic symmetries of the inclusion. In most cases (quartz and zircon as inclusion) you will need the Template_uniaxial_inclusion.dat file.

You can open the template file and modify it with any spreadsheet editor. Please save the file keeping the .dat extension, or it will not be accepted by EntraPT.
